Existing Planting- Existing planting areas amended with 2-3 inches of Cedar Grove Compost and tilled into the soil to a depth of 6 inches will increaser fertility, porosity and improves soil structure.

Flowering Shrubs / Perennials - Adding 3 inches of Cedar Grove Compost, as mulch will protect the soil from erosion and evaporation, add nutrients and inhibit weed growth. Cedar Grove compost as mulch also provides an attractive, dark contrast to flowering shrubs and perennials.

New Planting - New planting areas perform well with Cedar Grove's Two-Way Topsoil. Installed to a depth of 6-12 inches, Two-way Topsoil provides the organic matter and nutrients as well as the minerals and soil new plants and bulbs need to get established.

New Lawns - Lawns benefit from Cedar Grove Compost whether they are seeded, sodded or hydroseeded. The compost can be used as an amendment to tired soil and tilled in or Two-Way Topsoil can be used alone as the base for the seed, sod or hydroseed.

Existing Lawns - For topdresssing lawns we recommend the Two-Way Topsoil, a mixture of 50% Cedar Grove Compost and 50% sand.
